Northface Mica F1 tent

Northface Mica F1 tent

This feather weight streamlined tent has incredible interior space. The tent interior is almost 17 cubic feet.  The Vestibule has 10 cubic feet of space.  This is a must for the solo backpacker who is in many environments.  The total weight is 2 lbs 5oz. It is able to be set up with the foot print and the outer cover only, making it even lighter. I actually had several days of rain and due to the ability of setting up the outer cover first, I was then able to get inside and set up the tent portion keeping all my gear dry. (complete bonus) It also withstands high winds and heavy rains. When staked properly it had zero condensation.

Features Include
  • Crossing ridge pole maximizes interior space and provides a dry entrance
  • Large door and vestibule
  • High-low ventilation
  • Hubbed poles and color-coded webbing make for quick, easy setup

I love this tent!  A great purchase.

Hi! How was the condensation in the tent when it rain? I'm hiking the WA PCT this August and want a good tent that will survive in the rain? Also, did you use the footprint?
Thank you :o)

HI Stacy, Great questions! I have used this tent in rainy conditions. Including multiple days in a row on my JMT hike. It has withstood gail force winds (with guylines) When staked out properly you should have no problems with condensation. I foot print is a must. This will allow you to put up the pole and rain cover first (on rainy days) then you are able to climb into it and set up the tent, leaving your tent interior dry. (This was my number one reason for getting this tent) I am absolutely happy with it. Lots of space in vestibule.

if you are type of person who loves doing outdoor activities, then
Northface Mica F1 tent is definitely for you! Though some of the reviews were saying that it is an expensive tent, I would rather choose the expensive tent rather that the affordable ones if it will give you the protection you need while you are camping. Its features are pretty impressive, that's why I am wiling to buy it if me and met friends will go camping! This one makes me really excited!
