Luisa (Big-Lu) 1998- 2016

Picture
My beautiful Lu. Thank you!
How you’ve enriched my life cannot be measured on the standard scale. I would never have imagined an old rescue dog could make my life so full. The adventures we’ve shared, the lakes we’ve swam in, mountains we’ve climbed, and the road trips. Ah, the road trips. You always knew, and your joy for any adventure could not be matched by even my own.

Thank you for always being there by my side. Albeit sometimes under my feet in your clumsy manner.(smile) But that’s what made you Big-Lu!

I have learned so much from you, Lu. You taught me how to be ridiculous and enjoy every moment of every day. You taught me compassion, how to love others so immensely, how to notice the little thing on the trail, and that contagious smile of yours! I hope to always greet my friends with your enthusiasm. I will do my best.

I guess most of all thank you for teaching me how to smile with the wind in my face and my tongue hanging out. I love you.
You will be missed!

Big-Lu's Bucket List

My senior dog, Lu, just turns 17 this August (2015). She has been my adventure companion since the day I rescued her at age 7. (She was literally on her last day before she would have been euthanized. A thought that brings tears to my eyes since she turned out to be the best addition to my life!)

For the last several years we have been working on her bucker list. Doing everything and anything to create some amazing memories! While out list keeps on growing, I wanted to share some of the fun we have had.
